We Did It! The girls of Maisha have a brand new house!

Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, we raised enough funds to provide the Maisha Safe House a brand new home! This is a victory that has an enormous impact for the girls - recovering from human trafficking - and its impact can’t be overstated.

Before this fundraising effort, there were 60 girls sharing two rooms and one bathroom. Some of the girls had to share beds, which can re-traumatize someone who has been abused. Now, every girl has her own bed. They have healthcare items like shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes. There are four bathrooms, a huge improvement.

Although Hand in Hand Kenya is no longer affiliated with Maisha, we are immensely grateful we could raise the funds to provide this new home to young women in Nairobi who need it most.
