January 8th, 2025 Update

Today, I received some truly uplifting and exciting news that I couldn’t wait to share with our invaluable supporters. As we navigate through this chilly January, I believe we could all use a little warmth in our hearts. I am thrilled to announce that one of our generous churches, which contributes $5000 annually, has committed to continuing their support in 2025! Even more heartening, they expressed a desire to allocate an additional $5000 restricted for education. Thanks to this support, Maisha was able to enroll an additional seven girls in school and provide assistance to six more who had school fees covered but lacked the funds for uniforms and other essential supplies to attend school.The joy this brought was palpable, as I heard that some of the girls were dancing around the house, filled with excitement at the prospect of finally going back to school. With Kenya's school year kicking off in January we had to act quickly. Seven girls are now back in class, eager to learn and grow.

Additionally, our dedicated social workers, supported by your contributions, have found a school that allows two of our girls to take their babies with them, thanks to a special unit designed for infants at the school. This arrangement not only enables the girls to continue their education but also fosters a vital bond with their little ones, allowing them to nurture their relationship rather than only seeing their babies every three months. See the photo above.
